Dear new year 12 students

The Sudbury Upper School summer tasks are now available. Please find below the link which will take you directly to them:

http://www.school-portal.co.uk/GroupHomepage.asp?GroupId=734044

Please look at the attachment to this message which shows where subjects are being taught. Please check carefully the subjects you have chosen to study & which block they are situated. You can only have 1 subject per block. If you have a clash of subjects then you may be required to select another subject from a different block. Hopefully by giving you this information prior to results day you can resolve any potential clashes yourself, however, we are happy to discuss these with you on results day. Remember that if you are selecting a new subject then you must complete the summer task.

ALL SUMMER TASKS MUST BE HANDED IN ON THE FIRST DAY BACK: WEDNESDAY 7th SEPTEMBER

We look forward to seeing you all on results day: Thursday 25th August to complete sixth form registration.

Enjoy the holidays.

Summer Tasks

Dear Students

Please note that if you are studying a subject at Sudbury Upper School next year, you will need to access the summer task from their website. However, the SUS summer Tasks are not available just yet. We will send a message out to you as soon as we know they are available and will provide you with a link direct to their site.

In the meantime if you have any queries regarding your summer tasks please contact the head of subject if it is a specific query about the task, or the sixth form team on: jkilpatrick@gcus.net or ctalbot@gcus.net

Thank you
Mrs King

Induction Day

Dear All

Please note that tomorrow lunchtime there will be a poolside BBQ and swim, so please bring your swimming gear and a small amount of money to purchase lunch if required.

Mrs King

5th July - Induction Day and Parents' Information Evening

Welcome - welcome to all our new Year 12s and, in the evening, their parents.

A prompt 9am start (you can go in the Common Room!) - the programme will be put up on the Common Room doors.

We spend all day doing vital preparation for September (if you miss this you will need to contact us urgently as you may not be able to start courses) as well as getting to know each other.
You will spend time with your tutor group and with Year 13 and all your questions should be answered. It will be an enjoyable and informative day.

In the Evening the structure of new A levels and BTecs will be explained, there will be opportunities for Parents to meet tutors and familiarise themselves with the new website for the Sixth Form - and to sign up for email contact.

We very much look forward to seeing you.
PS: Everyone wish for sun!
KP
